How to use the classroom timer
1. Set the time
Tap a quick preset (1 to 30 minutes) or set any minutes and seconds with the steppers. Add an optional task label so students know what the timer is for.
2. Project it
Press Fullscreen and show the timer on your classroom board or projector. Pick a display style and colors that read clearly from the back of the room.
3. Start the countdown
Press Start. When time runs out the screen turns red and shows "Time's up!", with an optional sound alert — so the whole class notices at a glance.

What is a classroom timer?
A classroom timer is a large, easy-to-read countdown you project on the board so a whole class can see how much time is left for an activity. Unlike a small phone timer, it is built to be legible from the back of the room and to signal clearly the moment time runs out.

Yes. It is completely free, with no account, no install and no limits on how often you use it.
Can I show it fullscreen on a projector?
Yes. Press Fullscreen to fill the whole screen, which is ideal for a classroom projector or interactive whiteboard. Press Escape or Exit Fullscreen to return.
Will the screen go to sleep during a long activity?
No. While the timer is running it uses the screen wake lock to keep the display on, so a 30 or 45 minute countdown will not dim or sleep. You can turn this off in settings.
Can I turn off the end sound?
Yes. Use the "Play sound when time is up" toggle to switch the alert off for quiet rooms — the screen still turns red and shows "Time's up!" so students notice visually.
Does it keep counting if I switch tabs?
Yes. The countdown is based on a real end time, so it stays accurate even if the tab is briefly in the background and shows the correct remaining time when you return.
